Project Manager - (Construction Mfg)

As a Project Manager in Manufacturing, you'll be a key player overseeing Off Site Constructed (OSC) Mechanical Equipment projects. This role involves managing diverse facilities, including Central Utility plants, Mechanical equipment rooms, modular data centers, and custom air handling units. Your responsibilities span from project initiation through installation, startup, and final completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Kick-off Meetings: Initiate projects by facilitating kick-off meetings to establish objectives and strategies.
- Shop Drawings: Coordinate the generation of accurate shop drawings for seamless project execution.
- Project Phases: Transition projects seamlessly from estimating to fabrication phases and through site installation.
- Value Engineering: Collaborate with the project team and clients to identify and implement value engineering opportunities.
- Cost Monitoring: Continuously monitor project costs to ensure strict adherence to the budget.
- Purchases Management: Manage equipment and material purchases, ensuring timely delivery.
- Vendor Compliance: Oversee warranty compliance with vendors.
- Stakeholder Relationships: Cultivate strong working relationships with plant management and superintendents.
- Submittals Management: Manage all submittals related to assigned projects.
- Meeting Participation: Attend and actively contribute to job-related meetings as required.
- Documentation Oversight: Ensure accurate and timely completion of as-built documentation.
- Safety Culture: Promote a culture of safety, ensuring alignment with the Safety program.
- Project Delivery: Successfully deliver projects within predetermined and agreed budget, time, and quality parameters.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with Supers, Ops managers, and HR to schedule workforce needs.
- Schedule Management: Develop, coordinate, and manage project and team schedules to meet deadlines.
- Financial Approval: Approve all project-related invoices for payment.
- Reports Distribution: Generate and distribute status reports to keep all stakeholders informed.
- Change Orders: Accurately price change orders and manage change processes.
Education:
To excel in this role, a minimum of a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, construction management, or a related field is preferred. Alternatively, over 10 years of relevant experience, especially in HVAC, piping, or plumbing, will be considered.
